Learn about the innovations of the new SAP NOW Brazil format

For the first time, the largest technology and business event in Latin America will be held entirely online and promises to create a transcendental experience.

To adapt to the unexpected pandemic scenario, SAP reconfigured in record time one of the most relevant events for the technology and business sector. Betting on the online format, the company will bring together entrepreneurs and professionals from around the world to discuss ways to explore the technology and integrated solutions it offers that help businesses become truly smart companies.

In 2019, SAP NOW Brazil gathered 16 thousand people during two days, moving 4,300 companies. In an interview with journalist and presenter Patricia Maldonado, SAP Brazil Marketing Vice-President, Fernando Migrone, detailed the new format and the preparations for this year's SAP NOW Brazil, which besides the adaptation to online, will present the news in the company's management.

Migrone explained that an event of this size needs to have a long planning period, but that although every organization is made in advance, adaptations were necessary due to the pandemic and adjustments that occurred internally.

Important management changes have put two women in charge of SAP in Brazil and Latin America and now, the novelty is being celebrated: "Recently, we had an important and very nice change at SAP. Our president at SAP Brazil, Cristina Palmaka, has just been promoted to leadership in Latin America and the Caribbean. And Adriana Aroulho, who was the COO of SAP in Brazil and became the new president. Both of them will be with us at the event to tell us a little bit about how SAP prepared this transition," explains the Vice President of Marketing.

Fernando Migrone points out that the SAP team managed to maintain the quality of SAP NOW Brazil this year, since the digital format allows the public to participate in the event regardless of their location. "Before the event was limited to physical space. In the new digital format, we can be present wherever the person wants. Besides bringing professionals and market names that could have barriers because of time, agenda and logistics with the public, this transformation will allow more access and more content for everyone," says the executive.

About the program, Migrone says: "This is the best agenda we have already done in this event. We are bringing relevant market names". Among the participants of the event, will be present internationally recognized guests, such as the Brazilian scientist Marcelo Gleiser; the first woman to occupy the position of chief director of manned flights of NASA, Holly Ridings and the founder of Thrive Global, Arianna Huffington. It will also be members of SAP board, which will present company's strategy and impacts for Brazil, besides specialists of other areas.

This year, SAP NOW Brazil will take place between September 14 and 18. Held annually in São Paulo, in 2020 the challenge is to become even more relevant in the online environment. People will be able to access information about the event through SAP channels, through social networks and the website.
