In the 25th edition of the event, which will be online, the planning and strategy manager of the largest reseller of sugarcane harvesters of the case IH brand will present the results of Tracan's management software upgrade to SAP S/4Hana.
Tracan, a group of dealers and largest reseller of Case IH brand sugarcane harvesters, updates its management software to SAP S/4Hana to digitalize its processes and innovate customer service. The strategy of offering a service compatible with the technological level of the resold equipment will be presented at SAP NOW Brazil, on September 17th at 11:30am.
Among Tracan's results with this implementation project, led by Focus IT, a consulting firm specialized in SAP services, support, support and supply of complementary solutions, is the condition to offer faster and more customized service solutions, which often occur in the field itself, reducing execution time. In addition, the system will provide a preventive program of machine conservation through the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, reducing downtime mainly during the harvest.
According to Anderson Rocha, manager of planning and strategy of Tracan Group, the update will be responsible for halving the maintenance time and avoid the downtime of machines in the field.
The executive explains that the tools for continuity of operation, now all computerized, will interface with the S/4Hana, which extracts the data and points in a service order the problem that received service, the hours spent with the service and the level of wear of parts and lubricants consumption, recording electronically when it will be necessary to perform the repair. Automatically, the system will issue an alert so that the part is available in the scheduled time for maintenance, in addition to scheduling the allocation of the specialist who will perform the service.
"This set of information enables faster and more assertive decision making, promoting a proactive management of our business. Before, all this depended on the completion of spreadsheets and the updating in the system took time, causing a delay in parts orders and consequently in customer service and billing," explains Rocha.
The results achieved in a few months of use of the new SAP platform by Tracan were due to the knowledge of the implementation team, led by Focus IT, which had been supporting the company's systems since 2017, besides being the supplier of the fiscal solution used by Tracan. Now, the consultancy assumes the support for the S/4Hana improvements.
"Tracan is an example of a project that should be a reference for companies that are insecure with the move to the new SAP platform. We could see that the transition from the old system to the current one made it possible to reduce parallel controls, expanded the automation and prepared the company to differentiate itself in the market", emphasizes Luciano Steinbruch, CEO of Focus IT.
